Designing With Meaning...

As garden designers, we are asked to paint a magical master piece in our minds and then present them on a scale drawing for our clients. There are many questions that should be asked when designing a garden. Perhaps one of the most fundamental questions in landscape design is, after all, what is a garden? Most people would immediately answer: an area devoted to plants. Indeed, the Miriam Webster Dictionary's first definition is "a plot of ground where herbs, fruits, flowers, or vegetables are cultivated." Yes that is true, but I would like to think that there is more to a garden than that simple explanation!

We feel a garden defines the person you are! By all means we do not mean that you have to be in your garden everyday; what we mean is how your garden presents itself will show different characteristic with in you and family. Someone who loves to take long walks through the mountains would probably create a meandering path that takes you on a journey through their garden of perennials and woodland areas. A family with children will have in there garden a playground full of fun and hidden adventures. If designed right, a garden will create many different feelings and emotions.

Our definition of garden is "an inspirational masterpiece that will take you on a journey of emotions."

Our Design Team

The landscape design process should be fun and exciting. At Windsor's, we strive to promote such an experience by taking your wants, needs and desires for your garden and molding them along with our artistic experience to create a masterpiece ideal for your home and lifestyle.

Important first impressions are made when you view a home from the outside. Good landscaping not only adds beauty, but also adds value to your home. Attractive characteristics can be enhanced during the landscape process and problem areas can be disguised. Whether you own a new home or you are renovating an older home, our design team is ready to assist you in all of your design and installation needs.

The Design Process

Step 1:  The first step is setting up an appointment to have Windsor's professional design team meet at your home or other design site. There may be a travel fee if the site is out of the Twin Falls area. You will be informed if this applies to you when setting up the appointment. This fee must be paid at the time the designers visit your home or site. The designers will get a feel of the property and ask you questions relating to the project. Photos and measurements will also be taken at this time.  The designers will quote you a price for the completing the design. If the bid is accepted, a signature and deposit (if designer asks) will take place before the designer begins the plan.

Step 2:  The second step is the pre-design phase. For this phase you will be asked to come to the nursery and discuss your wants, hopes and needs. Much more detailed questions will be asked during this phase.

Step 3:  The final step is the finished design. Once the design is complete, you will be called to schedule an appointment for the final presentation at the nursery. Once everything is designed to your liking, a copy will be made of the design and given to you to keep. Payments will be due in full at this time. Once the design is complete, you have several following options. You can install the material yourself or you may choose to hire Windsor's professional crews to handle the entire project. We also offer a a combination of do-it-yourself and Windsor contracted labor. We are here to help however we can.

Estimates

Windsor's does not provide every type of landscape installation possible. Any landscaping that you are interest in, we will provide you with a professional estimate of the project. Regardless of how you complete your landscape project, the design is yours to keep.

Savings

We have two ways to help you with the overall cost of your design project. If you choose Windsor's to install your complete job, we will take the price of the design off your total cost. Windsor's also has a punch card system. For every $10 you spend, you receive one punch. After the 10th punch you get $10 off. I f you decide to install the material yourself, we will give you and additional 5% off with your punch card. That is like getting 15% off your plant material purchases. Does not apply to sale merchandise.
